Transamerica Video: Food for Thought
What am I gonna eat?
This? Or this? Honestly, not really sure. Whatever’s at hand, described in the enticing menu copy of a fine diner, or glistening on the shelves of a high-class gas station. Who knows?
I have procured a camp stove, so some old school open-flame stuff is gonna go down (and hopefully not come back up). The key issue is going to be the consuming enough to deal with the calories I’ll be burning.
There’s some wacky math in this video, so nutrition nerds have-at-it! Basically, in trying to work out what I’m going to eat, I’m scouring the blogs of past intrepid souls who have tackled this very problem, or devouring the thoughts of a rockin’ randonneur.
Feel free to share your thoughts on the matter.
In other news – 99% funded on Kickstarter for the side book project!
Oh, and I notice that my blog does not post the videos or images in RSS feeds. This in incredibly annoying, so if you’re reading this in a reader, I totally made a video. You should click through and watch me once again make an arse of myself. 🙂

I am very much in favour of Joel Metz’s “Eat what you encounter” approach (From Kent’s bike blog). I definitely look forward to seeing what you eat on your ride – try to take a photo of everything BEFORE you consume it 🙂

I shall attempt to do that Kris, particularly since the Food Station reward on kickstarter (plus mega reward) is all about that too. 🙂
