Although we've just started climbing, we're already high. That car parked down there is the Rogue.

Ocean views are pretty epic when you're climbing. Keep ear out for cars.

Nacimiento Road. Steady, 7.5-8 mile climb (with steeper bits, though not very steep, at the start).

Pumpkin Butter turns around to look back on the progress so far. We're maybe 5 miles into the climb here?

I actually took this photo on the way down, so timing-wise, it's out of order, but this is near start of North Ridge Trail.

North Ridge Trail. Excellent surface in some area, broken and gravelly in others. But altogether awesome.

White wall of rock we were aiming for (looking back). It looked steep to get to here, but it was actually ok.

Probably the roughest section of climbing. Loose gravel and very uneven around the corner here.

Cone Peak Trailhead. It's a mile hike to the top, but was totally socked in by fog at this point, so wouldn't have been able to see much.

Ended the adventure by swinging by Firestone Taproom and Restaurant. Proceeded to demolish a cheese plate and other items. Note to future patrons - the trio of fries is literally 3 servings of fries.
